MIDTOWN TALKING: HOW DO YOU HANDLE STILLNESS?

A philosophical question we’d like to discuss. Midtown Lively hit the streets to hear from neighbors and visitors. We appreciate and value what the Midtown community is saying. Here are some of their opinions:

For one thing I pray, spiritually. Then I sit back and I remind myself, I say, ok, take a deep breath, and relax; enjoy the view better.

– Chef “Turbo” John Jackson

That is the topic of my healing sermon; it’s a message that I keep receiving, to be still and know that I am god.

– Kathy Dundorf

With ease. I’m a super calm person, I don’t get bent out of shape about things, so stillness is great for me; it’s like a medicine actually. I love it. I think a lot of people don’t have the chance, to be still.

– Jared Williams

Gracefully. For me stillness equals grace, and it’s one of my favorite things in life. I grew up in a big family, and didn’t have much stillness. So it’s something I very much appreciate and kind of require in my life at this point.
