Releasing into Process $35 ($30 for ASK Members) 18 and up. In this class we will allow for spontaneous movement, stillness, and imagination. Using poetic imagery and various sound environments we can cultivate a heightened awareness of our integrated internal and external landscapes, bringing us into the present moment. Through our practice we create the possibility of letting go of unnecessary tension and tuning into subtle perception while simultaneously igniting our own creative processes. Radio Kingston’s Sprummer Celebración A large variety of FREE food items, music by Radio Kingston DJs, performances by Center for Creative Education (some that request YOUR participation), games for children, activities provided by MyKingstonKids, and, of course, many opportunities to dance! Ice Cream Sundays Enjoy a delicious Ice Cream treat as you see the natural beauty of the Catskills from our railroad’s scenic train. All trains are round trip from the Westbrook Lane Station @ the Kingston Plaza. Join us as we travel through some of the oldest farmlands in the US, cross the Esopus creek on the restored C9 bridge and go through the Hurley Flats then start climbing the Mountain. We Are Family Annual Recital and Fundraiser This event will feature performances by the Energy Dance Company, Creative Percussion Ensemble, DOJO Dance Company, DXF-Dance Xross Fitness and the students from CCE’s after school arts and education enrichment programs including hip hop, lyrical, Latin and ballet dance, drumming, Jam Band, Lil’ Ninja’s, songwriting and more! Harambee Presents Juneteenth Join us at our annual Juneteenth celebration for a grand day of remembrance, community and love. This is a special day to acknowledge the freedom of enslaved African-Americans and we are honored to host this event for the 2nd year at the Pine Street African Burial Ground. THIS IS A FREE EVENT. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS: The day will include an incredible lineup of performances including featured music artists, a wonderful indoor exhibit and a great variety of kids activities by MyKingstonKids, vendors, games, food, music, giveaways and more. Naturalist Passport, Edibles and Invasives Join educator Ellie in discovering the plants around Kingston. Some are edible and some are invasive and some are even both! A Naturalist’s Passport is 13 Thursdays of free hands on interactive, outdoor nature programs. Programs are designed for families and are free. Youth participants receive a Naturalist’s Passport and upon completion of six programs, will receive a free gift and a certificate. No reservations needed! Photography Now! Youth Photo Exhibit Opening Join the talented students from the MyKingstonKids Photography Now program at their summer exhibit opening.
